Desperately Seeking Santa debuted on ABC Family this season, starring Laura Vandervoort and Nick Zano, who I have to admit is really cute on 2 Broke Girls as Max's possible love interest. Unfortunately, I didn't see the cuteness today. I guess it's the facial hair.
So, this film tells the story of a career-minded rising executive of a mall who decides to put on a "Sexiest Santa" contest in an effort to pump up business and get herself a promotion to the corporate office. Nick Zano plays the contest winner who is trying to raise money to save his parents' restaurant. This being a romantic Christmas movie, it should come as no surprise that the two leads cannot stand each other at the beginning but slowly get to know each other and fall under each other's spell. And they all live happily ever after.
It's cute and light-hearted and I enjoyed it.
