Why oh why can't I switch to new Blogger?

Google bought Blogger awhile ago and supposedly made some improvements to Blogger and was going to eventually let all old Blogger customers (like me) switch to the new and improved Blogger. Well, it was in beta for a long time and now supposedly the switch is complete... except for some customers. Like me. Every time I log in to post, I get the "SWITCH NOW" invitation. When I click to switch, I'm then told that one or more of my blogs are not eligible for the switch yet. It says the primary reason is usually that the blog is too big. I only have like 600 posts over the last few years - is that too large? I know some people post many many entries every single day. Ugh.
