Randomly cool stuff found on the Web this weekend

I saw this picture of this mummified person who lived about 600 years ago with her hands covering her face as if she literally died from shock and was then preserved in this way and it was kind of interesting. (via)

Then, the same site (Boing Boing) pointed to a device that enables one to record cassette tapes into Mp3 format. How great is that for any of us with old cassette tapes that are basically useless now? I sold a bunch of my cassette tapes in a garage sale a couple years back since my car doesn't even have a cassette deck anymore. This is a great way to convert all that old 80s music to CDs or Mp3s.

Finally, with the big political talk of the last few days being the troop surge in Iraq, I came across Michael Moore's letter to George W. in response. It's really really sarcastic and also, really kind of funny. (via)
