More on Conan

This is an excellent article from the San Francisco Gate (via TV Tattle) that spells out exactly why Conan O'Brien is an odd choice to replace Leno on The Tonight Show. One thing it doesn't mention that I've been thinking about is how a lot of Conan's act (and charm) is about how he is a nobody, a loser, how no one watches his show - that kind of thing. He certainly can't go on like that once he's hosting the institution that is The Tonight Show, can he? Well, we'll see. Who even knows what kind of things will happen by the time 2009 rolls around. I know, I, for one, will watch The Tonight Show more often with Conan as host - at least at first.

Oh, and this article confirms that Conan will indeed be leaving New York for L.A.

Conan's back live tonight if anyone wants to hear what he has to say on the subject.

One last thing - I hope this bumping up time slots things ends there and Carson Daly isn't going to get the Late Night gig.
